White card nsw expiry

When is a white card void in NSW? Can you work in NSW with a white card? Is there a construction white card expiry date? Do white cards expire?

Holding a valid White Card in Australia means that you have completed construction induction training with a registered training organisation. In order to obtain a white card , you must complete a one-day training course. Holders of white cards include site managers, supervisors, surveyors, labourers and tradespeople.


Yes, there is a construction white card expiry date, but only if you haven’t worked in construction industry for two years or more. Since most people who earn white cards do work in their fields, their white cards remain valid.

If your card does expire due to inactivity in this industry, you’ll need to apply for another one. Until recently it was not possible to do your White Card course online in NSW. However, Express Online Training has been approved by SafeWork NSW to deliver the White Card Course via connected online classroom during the COVID-crisis. This White Card online CITC (Construction Induction Training Card ) is accepted in every state. If yours has been lost or destroye you can order and pay for a replacement online, as long as your details are still the same as those on the original card.


While white cards remain valid forever (rendering regular white card renewals unnecessary), you may at some point need to apply for a white card replacement. If you have lost or misplaced your white card but want to work in construction again, you will need to apply for a replacement card. Note: A white card is valid for years and can be used in any Australian state or territory. Under the current legislation, white cards do not expire but it is recommended that you refresh your knowledge by completing a new course if you have been absent from the construction industry for more than years.


NSW RESIDENTS CAN NOT COMPLETE THE WHITE CARD COURSE ONLINE - YOU MUST COMPLETE THE COURSE FACE TO FACE. Please contact our office. Similarly, if you currently hold a Queensland blue card , the predecessor of the white card , you will need to apply for a replacement white card.

The existing card remains vali despite the date on the physical card.

For TAS residents, we issue a Staitment of Attainment which you have to take to a service centre to obtain the TAS WorkSafe White Card. Queensland: You may be able to complete training online and receive a QLD white card if you live in QLD over 100km from the nearest available face-to-face training centre. Just in case any else wants the info regarding the expiry in regards to a NSW White Card (I called the service number help). The White Card is not valid (not expire Just not valid) after years if you have not done any construction work. Residents of these states must attend a face to face White Card course in their state. Western Australia Online White Card courses can no longer be undertaken by residents of these states.

Getting a photo card is voluntary and available to any NSW resident over the age of 16.
