DoHE might suit you if you completed Year but didn’t quite meet the entry requirements for your dream course , if you’re returning to study or would benefit from additional learning support. A Science ( Education ) diploma opens a world of opportunity into areas of Chemistry, Physics, Data Management, Psychology and Biology. This course is designed to orient students to the field of education at a postgraduate level.

It is suited to students who have a first qualification in a discipline other than education. It is also a pathway for students who do not yet meet the entry requirements for the Master of Education. This one-year program is an alternative pathway to a Monash degree. It allows you to study first-year units in four of our schools – arts and social sciences , business , IT and science – and qualify for the second year of a chosen degree.

Whichever you choose, you need to study six units related to your degree and two compulsory study-skills units, Learning in Higher Education and Academic Literacies, in your first year. When you apply for the Diploma of Higher Education , you will select a stream from education or science. These streams provide a direct pathway into the second year of specified Monash degree courses. In part of your diploma, you’ll study the same subjects as first year university students. Some people use this as a fast track, completing first year in months. Our small classes mean you will receive individual attention from your teachers.

You’ll still study undergraduate level subjects – but the extra support will make sure you are ready for university. You’ll be part of the university community from day one. You can start in part or part depending on your academic. Although an ATAR and an OP (Queensland) score is published for each diploma , students can also be admitted based on previous higher education or vocational education (complete or incomplete) or Yr study.

Extra requirements:All applicants must sit CASPer. The Diploma of Tertiary Studies course can also provide a pathway into other Monash degree courses that are not destination degrees.
