Can i plug a 220v into 110v

Can I Plug a 220V into 110V ? What happens to a 220V stereo when connected to 110V? Is 220V better than 110V? What is the difference between 110V and 220V? Can you plug a 2volt into a 1volt?

Plugging it into 220V is definately a problem!
